Editorial Standards

The sourcing, accuracy, attribution, review, disclosure, and accountability standards used by TechNode HQ.

These standards apply to independent articles, automated coverage, reviews, comparisons, guides, and paid work published by TechNode HQ.

Accuracy and sourcing

  • Prefer primary documents, official product documentation, filings, standards, and direct statements for factual claims.
  • Use secondary reporting for context and corroboration, with links that let readers inspect the source where practical.
  • Separate confirmed facts, source claims, analysis, and uncertainty.
  • Do not invent quotations, prices, dates, benchmarks, specifications, customers, or outcomes.

Automated publishing

Automated source discovery and automated drafting support routine article production. Automation is a production method, not an authority. TechNode HQ remains accountable for published accuracy, disclosures, and corrections whether an item was drafted by a person, software, or a combination of both.

Reviews, comparisons, and experience

An article must not claim hands-on use, laboratory testing, purchased access, or original benchmarks unless that work actually occurred and the method can be described. Documentation-based reviews and comparisons should identify their evidence and limitations.

Commercial coverage

Sponsored content must be labelled before the main article content. Independent editorial conclusions must not be silently changed into paid endorsements. Sponsor-provided claims should be attributed and checked where possible.

Updates and corrections

Material errors should be corrected in the article. When an update changes a reader’s understanding of the original report, the article should carry a visible correction or update note. Readers can use the Corrections page to report a problem.
